Abstract
Objective: To dicribes related factors to stress of 390 third year medical students after practicing in hospital at Hanoi Medical University in 2016. Subject and method: A cross - sectional descriptive study. Result: A study of 390 students third year at the Hanoi Medical University in 2016 showed that: The stress rate for male and female students was the same (OR = 0.9, 95% CI = 0.58 - 1.42). Students under pressure from future academic achievement had a higher prevalence of stress 1.7 times than those without pressure (PR = 1.27; 95% CI = 1.27 - 2.31). For students who lack confidence in their study scores, the figure for stress was 1.44 times higher than that of the students (PR = 1.44, 95% CI = 1.18 - 1.77). For students who feel stressed when not living up to their standards, their stress was 1.5 times higher than that of the student population (PR = 1.5; 95% CI = 1.1 - 2.14). For the group of students who regularly shared their problems with their families, the proportion of stress was only 0.75 times that of the non-shared group (PR = 0.75; 95% CI = 0.67 - 0.84 ). Conclusion: Third-year medical students are often under pressure from academic achievement so there is a need for sharing from the family and the school and improving their understanding of mental health. To plan for effective learning, to build a healthy lifestyle.
