Surveys of structural characteristics of ultrasonographic patients in the Functional Diagnostics Department of the 108 Military Central Hospital

Abstract
Objective: To study the characteristics of ultrasonographic patients in Functional Diagnostic Department in order to take initiative in the distribution of ultrasound examination and plan to invest in practical machines. Subject and method: Prospective and perspective method, cross-sectional description of patients who come for ultrasound in the Department of Diagnostic and Functional Services of the 108 Military Central Hospital for the period from 2013 to 2017. Result: During the five years from 2013 to 2017, the number of patients undergoing ultrasound testing increased annually (from 125.6% to 342%). The proportion of patients in the military and military health insurance over the years was equivalent to 13%, the proportion of service patients increased 55.35% and the proportion of patients under other health insurance decreased significantly to 31.56%. Ultrasound changes significantly, in 2013 ultrasound of the general abdomen accounted for 66.2%, echocardiography: 21.9%, thyroid: 2.3%, and mammary gland: 0.8%. Compared with 2013, the thyroid ultrasound will increase from 2.3 to 11.3% in 2017, Doppler ultrasonography increased from 0.2 to 4.6%, Ultrasound in the procedure increased from 0.1% to 1.9%. In 2013 Convex uses 71.4% of the probes, but by 2017, the rate is only 59.2%. Meanwhile, the use of linear transducers in 2017 increases (17.9%) compared to 2013 (4.8%). Patients receiving ultrasound examination the highest concentration of the day from 8 hour to 10h30 accounted for 52%. Conclusion: Over the past five years, the number of patients undergoing ultrasound testing has increased. The proportion of patients who are in the Army and military health insurance has been stable over the years, but the proportion of patients who are service subjects has increased markedly. The structure of ultrasonography has changed significantly, with the increase in the number and proportion of thyroid and mammary gland patients, so the use of linear transducers has increased. Patients receiving ultrasound examination highest concentration of the day is from 8h to 10h30.
