Abstract
Percutaneous ethanol injection is commonly used in treatment thyroid cyst, nodular and despite its low complication rate. However, thyroid artery bleeding is fast progressive and can be died because of respiratory failure. Here, we report 53 years old woman who underwent ethanol ablation with neck bulging and pain that developed two hours. A large hematoma surrounding her left superior thyroid artery was detected. She underwent subtotal left lobectomy. Hospital day was 4
