Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the low back pain caused by degenerative spine and some related factors. Subject and method: 60 volunteered patients aging over 30 years old, which were diagnosed with low back pain caused by degenerative spine, treated at Geriatrics, Central Acupuncture Hospital from 2015 March to 2016 October; irrespective of occupation, gender. Generalizing the characterization of the patients, the pain score on the VAS scale, the quality of life according to the Oswestry Disability Index, assessed a number of factors related to the pain and clinical status in the lumbar spine. Result: The number of female suffered from the disease accounted for a high percentage (65%), the age average was 50.5 ± 13.8 years with 43.3% patients had the duration of illness over 6 months. 75% of the study group were common labors. Pain was more onset gradually and gradually. Moderate and severe pain made up to 73.3%, it was also the reason causing muscle spasm in the lumbar spine, restrain the lumbar spine and limit the range of lumbar spine. 75% of the objectives were evaluated with average and low level of living standard, according to Oswestry. The disease was strongly associated with movement, time and climate change factors. Conclusion: Low back pain caused by degenerative spine greatly affects the quality of work and life of patients. It was related to age, professional characteristics, movement and climate change factors.
