Abstract

Objective: To compare the 52-week drug survival of adalimumab, secukinumab and ustekinumab in patients with plaque psoriasis treated in clinical practice at 108 Military Central Hospital. Subject and method: A single-center retrospective cohort study was conducted in patients with plaque psoriasis who received adalimumab, secukinumab or ustekinumab betweenJanuary 2021 and June 2025 at 108 Military Central Hospital.Baseline demographic and clinical characteristics were collected.Drug survival was estimated using the Kaplan–Meier method and compared among treatment groups using the log-rank test. Result:A total of 84 patients with plaque psoriasis were included, comprising 13 treated with adalimumab, 45 with secukinumab and 26 with ustekinumab. At week 52, the cumulative drug survival rates were 84,6%, 86,7% and 96,2% for adalimumab, secukinumab and ustekinumab, respectively. Ustekinumab demonstrated the highest drug survival; however, the difference among the three treatment groups was not statistically significant (log-rank test,p=0.397). The most common reason for treatment discontinuation was loss of treatment effectiveness, followed by financial burden and adverse events. Conclusion: Ustekinumab showed a trend toward the highest 52-week drug survival, followed by secukinumab and adalimumab, although the differences did not reach statistical significance. Loss of treatment effectiveness was the leading cause of treatment discontinuation, highlighting the importance of optimizing therapeutic effectiveness to improve long-term drug survival in patients with plaque psoriasis.
