Mục tiêu: Xác định tỷ lệ nhiễm Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) và mối liên quan với bệnh dạ dày tăng áp cửa ở bệnh nhân xơ gan. Đối tượng và phương pháp: Nghiên cứu tiến cứu, mô tả cắt ngang trên 65 bệnh nhân xơ gan tại Khoa Nội Tiêu hóa - Bệnh viện Quân y 103. Chẩn đoán và phân loại mức độ bệnh dạ dày tăng áp cửa theo Hội nghị đồng thuận Baveno III. Chẩn đoán và đánh giá mức độ nhiễm H. pylori tại niêm mạc dạ dày theo phương pháp mô bệnh học. Kết quả: Tỷ lệ bệnh dạ dày tăng áp cửa là 67,7% và tỷ lệ nhiễm H. pylori là 47,7% ở bệnh nhân xơ gan trong đó chủ yếu nhiễm H. pylori mức độ nhẹ (22/31 = 71,0%). Không có mối liên quan giữa tình trạng nhiễm H. pylori với mức độ xơ gan theo thang điểm Child-Pugh, cũng như với sự xuất hiện và mức độ bệnh dạ dày tăng áp cửa. Kết luận: Nhiễm H. pylori là ít phổ biến và có lẽ không liên quan đến bệnh sinh bệnh dạ dày tăng áp cửa ở bệnh nhân xơ gan.
