Abstract
Objective: To assess some clinical and paraclinical characteristics of patients with dengue fever who treated at 108 Military Central Hospital from May 7, 2017 to Sep 30, 2017. Subject and method: Serum samples of patients suspected with dengue fever were tested by quick kit Dengue Duo (Dengue NS1 Ag; IgM/IgG) of SD Bioline Company on the principle of immunochromatography allowing to detect the presence of NS1 antigen, IgM, IgG antibodies, dengue antivirus in the serum of patients with 4 serotyp of dengue virus in Advia 2120i, Beckman AU-5800 machine. This is a cross sectional descriptive study and data analysis using SPSS 23 software. Result: Infection rate of dengue fever was highest in August (19.49%). The proportion of patients infected with primary dengue fever was 36.85%, secondary infection rate was 5.04%. People of all ages could be infected but the highest incidence was at the age less than 40 (68.42%). Conclusion: Dengue fever nature changed over time, it must be monitored annually to ensure the prevention methods are effective.
