Abstract

Objective: To describe the results of nursing care and the patient’s satisfaction of nursing care in rheumatoid arthritis’s treatment at 108 Military Central Hospital and Bach Mai Hospital in 2022. Subject and method: A cross-sectional study on 138 rheumatoid arthritis patients diagnosed by EULAR/ACR 2010 criteria, hospitalized at Department of Rheumatology of 108 Military Central Hospital and Rheumatology Center of Bach Mai Hospital from 7/2022 to 12/2022. Patients satisfied the inclusion criteria answered the sheet forms after 7 days of treatment. The researched index included: Clinical manifestation; six nursing care activities; six consultation activities, patient’s satisfaction according to Leeds questionaire. Data were analyzed by SPSS 20. Result: The average age of subjects was 60.06 ± 11.91 years old. Female/male ratio was 3.06. The average BMI was 23.01 ± 2.02kg/m². Disease duration lasted longer than 10 years in 44.9% patients. The nursing care of helping patients comb their hair, change their clothes, do exercise, evaluation of joint’s range of motion, patient’s encouragement, nurse’s attitude contributed to 61.6%; 97.8%, 96.4%, 99.3%, 99.3%; and 100%, respectively. In term of consultation, the disease education, nutrition, exercise, hygiene, treatment’s adhesion were 99.3%, 98.6%, 98.6%, 99.3%, 100% and 96.4%, respectively. Patient’s satisfaction from very unsatisfied to very satisfied were 69.6%, 28.3%, 2.1%, 0%, 0%, respectively. Conclusion: The nursing care of rheumatoid arthritis patients at 108 Military Central Hospital and Bach Mai Hospital was met the patient’s requirement with the percentage of merely 96%. A majority of patients (98%) was satisfied or much satisfied with nursing care.
