Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the results of monitoring and care for patients after micro surgery to detect and report to surgeons in time the problems related to blood supply for the flaps and salvage treatment, then to propose a protocol to increase quality of treatment procedure. Subject and method: Retrospective care of 56 patients formed by freeflaps from January 2018 to December 2019 at the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Department, including: General care and look after of the free flaps. Result: The average age of the patients group was 48.5 years. Gender: Male number was more than female ratio 3: 1. The rate of use of soft tissue flap was more than that of bone flap, in which male patients use soft tissue flap and bone flap mainly, while women use both flaps less. Time track flap from 7 to 15 days. 85.7% flap with clinical signs: Pink, warm, fine capillary reflux, needle prick bleeding. 100% of the patients were cared for, ensuring the diet, dressing, dental hygiene and good exercise regime. Conclusion: The procedure of follow-up and care of patients after plastic surgery microflaps performed at the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery for 2 years from 01/2018 to 12/2019 is quite accurate and reasonable, help patients be closely monitored, quickly recover from surgery, shorten treatment time. However, this process needs to be included in the code to confirm its superiority.
