Abstract

Objective: To describe the clinical characteristics of genital lichen sclerosus and its related factors. Subject and method: 54 patients with genital lichen sclerosus treatment at National Hospital of Dermatology 01/2016 to 12/2018. Result: The genital lichen sclerosus was mostly seen in females (90.7%) and in which, 63% of patients lived in the rural areas with many different occupations such as farming, retirement, and employees… etc. Interestingly, 3 couples (mother- daughter) had the same disease, accounting for 11.1%. The most common symptom was itching with the smooth, porcelain white plague around anogeital area. Conclusion: This disease was seen in both sex, females were dominant than their counterparts. There was no relationship between the disease and occupation. Itching was mostly seen and the common clinical examination was porcelain white plague with follicular plugs (early stage) or atrophic (late stage) in anogenital area.
