Current situation and effects of treatment early childhood caries diseases in children 36 to 71 months in Hanoi City, Viet Nam

Abstract
Objective: To describe the current state of early childhood caries and to evaluate the effectiveness of early childhood caries treatment with fluorosis. Subject and method: A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted on 200 children, aged 36 to 71 months at Kindergarten, Chau Can commune, Phu Xuyen district, Hanoi City, Viet Nam. Classifying caries based on ICDAS II price and detection of international caries. An uncontrolled intervention study on 150 teeth diagnosed as early childhood caries from the research group described above and was treated with MI vanish fluoride with a once-weekly treatment for 4 consecutive weeks and evaluate treatment results after 6 months. Result: The rate of early childhood caries was 82%, severe caries (S-ECC) was 65.2%. After 6 months, the level of complete recovery (D0) of lesions was 120 (80%), D1 was 20 (13.33%) and D2 was reduced to 10 (6.67%). Conclusion: The incidence of early childhood caries is quite high and the level of serious caries is quite severe, but for those who were treated with MI vanish fluor once a week for 4 consecutive weeks, the rate early childhood caries reduced and decreased both the severity of the disease.
