Abstract

Objective: To determine on serum osteocalcin and beta-crosslaps of overweight people. Subject and method: The study describes the cross, controlled. Group treatment: 341 patients with BMI ≥ 23, the control group: 129 patients had 18.5 ≤ BMI < 23. Result: The mean OC concentration in the group treatment 14.42 ± 6.55ng/ml was lower in the control group 16.61 ± 7.78ng/ml (p=0.001). The mean BC concentration in the group treatment 0.26 ± 0.22ng/ml was lower than in the control group 0.34 ± 0.25ng/ml (p=0.001). The mean BC and OC concentration in the BMI group ≥ 25 was lower than in the BMI with group 23 < BMI < 25 (p<0.05). Conclusion: Concentration of serum osteocalcin and beta-crosslaps of overweight people is significantly lower than the control group (p<0.001, p<0.001 respectively); and obesity group (p<0.05).
