Assessing the health-related quality of life among COPD patients at Department of Respiratory Medicine, 108 Military Central Hospital

Abstract
Objective: To assess “the health-related quality by CAT questionnaire” and “several factors associated with health-related quality of life” among inpatients with acute exacerbations of COPD at the Department of Respiratory Medicine, 108 Military Central Hospital. Subject and method: A cross-sectional study design was utilized among 98 inpatients who were treated at Department of Respiratory Medicine, 108 Military Central Hospital. Result: COPD had negative impacts on inpatient’s health-related quality of life. Several factors which were significantly associated with health-related quality of life were living situation, BMI, and COPD stage (p<0.05). Conclusion: Health-related quality of life among inpatients with acute exacerbations of COPD were significantly affected.
