Abstract
Objective: To evaluate effectiveness of treatment and prevention of aspirin combination with cilostazol in patients with noncardioembolic acute ischemic stroke. Subject and method: 102 patients with acute mild to moderate ischemic stroke (first 72 hours) hopitalized for inpatient treatment at Phu Tho General Hospital from September 2015 to October 2018. Result and conclusion: The proportion of male patients was 60.8%, higher than female ones, the median age of subjects in this study was 67 ± 8.4 years. After 6 months, there were more than 90% improvement in the NIHSS score, there were improvement in the mRS (mRS decreased by ≥ 1 point) after 6 months, study group had rates of improvement 90.5% higher than control group (62.7%), regarding the change in degree of stenosis and occlusion intracranial arteries, study group had rate of regressive stenosis 82.6% higher than control group (22.6%), the rate of extracranial carotid degressive stenosis in study group (39.2%) more than control group (2.6%); the rate of recurrence stroke in 6 months was 18.3% in control group and 4.8% in study group.
