Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the clinical and paraclinical features of dengue heamorrhagic fever patients visiting at the Center for Disease Control of Khanh Hoa province in 2020. Subject and method: A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted on 102 patients with dengue hemorrhagic fever from March to August 2020. The patients were directly interviewed, clinical examined and paraclinical tested. Result: 60.8% was male and mean age was 31.1 ± 20.03 years. The most common clinical symptoms were fever (92.2%), positive tournique test (52%), arthralgia (34.3%), myalgia (34.3%) cold hands and feet (18.6%), cutaneuos hemorrhage (16.7%), rapid heart rate (15.7%), respectively. The less common symptoms were muscosal hemorrhage (6.9%), lethargic (3.0%) and restlessness (2.0%). The common paraclinical signs were thrombocytopenia (28.4%), increased hematocrit (27.5%), leukopenia (9.8%), mild anemia (13.7%). Mild increases in SGOT, SGPT were 18.6% and 12.7%, respectively. Conclusion: The patients were all mild fever hemorrhagic dengue, clinical and paraclinical symptoms were variable, but the most common are fever, rapid heart rate, positive tournique test, myalgia, arthralgia, cold hands and feet, cutaneuos hemorrhage, mild thrombocytopenia and increased hematocrit, mild anemia. The rate of mild increases in SGOT was higher than that of SGPT. This indicated that muscle injury was alo significant with respect to the liver injury during the course of the disease
