Evaluation of fractional CO2 laser efficacy in atrophic acne scars treatment

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate of fractional CO2 laser efficacy in atrophic acne scars treatment. Subject and method: 22 patients with atrophic acne scar lesions were included in this study. Patients were randomized to be treated by fractional CO2 laser with 4 weeks interval at the 108 Military Central Hospital. The treatment results were assessed after three months. Result: All patients had definited reduction in acne scar amount with each session that was maintained during follow-up. Rolling scars responded better (34.2%) to laser treatment than boxcar (27.66%) and ice-pick scars (16.42%). Conclusion: Acne scar treatment by fractional CO2 laser is good results and safety.
