Abstract
Objective: To describe the computed tomography characteristic figures of patients with acute ischemic stroke within 6 hours of symptom onset. Subject and method: 73 patients with acute ischemic stroke treated at 103 Military Hospital from Jan. 2020 to Dec. 2020 were enrolled in the study. The findings on computed tomography (CT) image were assessed. Comparisons of collateral status between two groups with and without eary signs on CT were performed by Chi square test. Result: Early signs on CT image were found in 20.5% patients. The arterial occlusions were not found in 47.9%. The occlusions were most common in middle cerebral artery. Relationship between collateral status and findings on CT image were found. Conclusion: Computed tomography and CT angiography are helpfull for management patients with acute ischemic stroke.
Keywords: Computed tomography, acute ischemic stroke, collateral circulation, early sign.
