Abstract

Summary

Objective: To study the prognostic accuracy of the IAP for in-hospital mortality among critical patients. Subject and method: 42 patients who had no previous abdominal surgery were measured for abdominal pressure 24 hours after ICU admission. Simultaneously, SOFA score is calculated as a comparison parameter. The primary outcome is in-hospital mortality. Result: IAP has a good quality for predicting mortality with AUC: 0.688 (p<0.01), cut-off point: 23.5 (cmH2O), sensitivity: 65.2%, specificity: 73.7%. Conclusion: The IAP has a good quality for predicting mortality among critical patient group.
