Abstract
Objective: To describe the MRI charateristic figures according to the malignancy of parotid gland tumors. Subject and method: 60 patients (64 parotid gland tumors) were treated at Hanoi Cancer Hospital from Jan. 2019 to May. 2020. Comparison the characteristic figures between malignant and benign groups by Chi square test. Result: The signs: Shape, margin, invasiveness, lymph nodes, and signal intensity T2-weighted differ significantly between malignant and benign groups. 90.9% of pleomorphic adenomas showed TIC type A. 71.4% of Warthin tumors showed TIC type B. 80% of malignant tumors showed TIC type C. Conclusion: MRI charateristic figures are helpful for differentiating malignant from benign parotid gland tumors
