Abstract
Objective: To describe the clinical features of A-V pattern strabismus. Subject and method: This is a cross–sectional study. 95 patients from 3 years old who are diagnosed A-V pattern strabismus and without any other ocular syndromes came to VNEH from May 2018 to August 2019 were fully evaluated. Result: V pattern/A pattern rate was 3.5/1. 91.1% were combined with vertical deviation. Oblique overaction was common seen, in which grade 2+ or worse was in 82.5% and 65.3% was noticed severe or very severe level. 86.4% horizontal deviation were more than 20PD whereas vertical were 13.67%. Amblyopia was 41.0% and 39.0% no binocular vision. Refractive error was in 72.3%. Conclusion: V pattern was more than A - pattern. 82.5% oblique muscle overation occupy ≥ 2, 65.3% was severe or worse level. Most of these patients are combined with small angle vertical deviation however horizontal deviation was oftens seen with a large angle. The incidence of refractive error, amblyopia and nobinocular vision were are high.
