The results of the maxillary first molar’s endodontic treatment in use microscopy

Abstract

Objective: To evaluate of the results of the maxillary first molar’s endodontic treatment in use microscopy. Subject and method: The first 105 maxillary teeth in the upper jaw indicated for endodontic treatment and endodontic treatment at Central Odonto Dental Hospital from January 2015 to July 2019. Result: When seen by the naked eye 32.4%, microscopy: 86.7% mesial buccal. Treatment results after one week: Good 84.8%, quite good 12.4%, poor 2.9%. Treatment results after 3 - 6 months: Good 90.6%, quite good 5.2%, poor 4.2%. Treatment results after 1 year: Good 96.6%, quite good 1.1%, poor 2.3%. Treatment results after 2 years: Good 97.7%, quite good 0%, poor 2.3%. Conclusion: With a high level of illumination and magnification, the microscope effectively supports the detection of the mouth of the root canal, especially the small and hidden canal like the mesial buccal of maxillary first.
