Abstract

Summary

Objective: To establish a quantitative method of free circulating miRNA in peripheral blood to select internal miRs and identify candidate miRs to further study the role of miRNAs in sepsis patients is to investigate the diagnostic performance of hematopoiesis specific miRNAs and/or inflammation related microRNAs in differentiating sepsis from SIRS or sepsis follow-up. Result: The relative expression level of 4 mir RNA: MiRNA-146-3p, miRNA-147b, miRNA-155 and miRNA-223 in the sepsis group were higher than in the healthy group (p=0.001). The AUC of miRNA-146-3p and miRNA-147b are the highest in the diagnosis of sepsis and healthy people with AUC of 0.849 and 0.868, respectively and can be used for further evaluation. Conclusion: Circulating 4 miRNAs: MiRNA-146-3p, miRNA-147b, miRNA-155 and MiRNA- 223 can be promising candidate for sepsis diagnostic definition.
