The efficacy and safety of hyaluronic acid microinjection in skin rejuvenation

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of hyaluronic acid microinjection in skin rejuvenation. Subject and method: Thirty participants underwent three sessions of hyaluronic acid microinjection at 2 - week intervals, involving multiple injections in the face and back of the hands. The aesthetic result was assessed at baseline and after 2, 4 and 8 weeks. Clinical evaluation was based on Global Aesthetic Improvement Scale (GAIS) and Wrinkle Severity Rating Scale (WSRS). Result: There was 30 cases in the study. Evaluation of photographs at 2, 4 and 8 weeks revealed significant clinical improvement: Brightness, texture and wrinkle of the skin. The analysis of the GAIS and WSRS scores demonstrated statistically significant results after 2 months. Most of participants felt satisfied with the treatment (93.3%). Conclusion: Hyaluronic acid microinjection is a safe and effective technique in skin rejuvenation.
