Abstract

 Summary

Objective: To evaluate the initial results of retroperitoneal laparoscopy using robotdex arm to lithotomy of the upper 1/3 ureter at Thanh Hoa General Hospital. Subject and method: Including 20 patients diagnosed with upper 1/3 ureteral stones and performed retroperitoneal laparoscopy using robotdex arm to lithotomy at Thanh Hoa General Hospital from March 2019 to June 2019. Result: There were 12 male and 8 female patients. The average age was 42 ± 16 years. The average size of stones 1.6 ± 0.5cm. Hydronephrosis in the second and third level accounted for 90%. The operation using 3 trocar accounted for 95%. Stones had a combined polyp 30%. Suture ureter with removable stitches 90%. The time for suture ureter was 7.25 minutes. The average operating time was 45.5 minutes. Duration of hospitalization was 5-7 days. There was 01 case of peritoneal perforation, 01 case of neuromuscular pain after operation. 100% successful operation, no case had to transfer surgical method. Conclusion: The retroperitoneal laparoscopy using robotdex arm to lithotomy of the upper 1/3 ureter is a surgical method that can be performed at the provincial general hospital. With safe and effective initial results, it is especially advantageous during sonde JJ placement and suture ureter stage compared to simple retroperitoneal laparoscopy.
