Abstract

Objectives and method: This retrospective study evaluated the quality of life of bladder cancer patients undergoing radical cystectomy with Bricker urinary diversion at 108 Military Central Hospital from March 2021 to May 2024. Result: The mean age was 66.59 years, with a male-to-female ratio of 7:1. Stage III disease accounted for 47.5% of cases. The average postoperative hospital stay was 11.5 days. Quality of Life Scores (Mean): Physical status 20.3 points; Work status 20.07 points; Family-social relationships 18.22 points; Mental status 15.23 points. Conclusion: Bricker urinary diversion following radical cystectomy is a safe method that yields a relatively good quality of life for patients with advanced bladder cancer.
