Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the risk of sleep disorders in seborrheic dermatitis (SD) patients at Ho Chi Minh City Hospital of Dermatology and Venereology. Subject and method: This case-control study was conducted among 49 seborrheic dermatitis patients and 49 healthy controls from April 2024 to December 2024. Result: A total of 44.9% of SD patients were diagnosed with sleep disorder, with a mean PSQI score of 6.2 ± 3.4, which was statistically higher than that of the control group. Patients with SD were found to be 7.03 times more likely to develop sleep disorder compared to healthy controls. No statistically significant relationship was observed between sleep disorder and the duration or severity of SD. Conclusion: The risk of sleep disorder in SD patients is significantly higher than in healthy controls.
