Abstract

Reconstruction of the orbital wall following complex maxillofacial trauma is a major clinical challenge, requiring restoration of both visual function and facial aesthetics. We report the case of a 22-year-old male with multiple right orbital wall deformities resulting from a traffic accident one year prior. The patient presented with diplopia, restricted ocular motility, and orbital asymmetry, significantly impairing visual function and quality of life. Orbital reconstruction was performed using a pre-shaped titanium mesh based on a 3D-printed model to achieve accurate anatomical restoration. Intraoperatively, endoscopic assistance provided direct visualization of the surgical field, while a C-arm system was used to verify and adjust implant positioning. Postoperatively, orbital symmetry was restored, diplopia had resolved, and no complications were observed. This case highlights the feasibility and effectiveness of combining 3D printing technology, endoscopic assistance, and intraoperative C-arm imaging in complex orbital wall reconstruction.
