Abstract
Objective: To report the outcomes of supermicrosurgical treatment for lymphedema in five post-mastectomy patients at Viet Tiep Friendship Hospital. Subject and method: A prospective descriptive study on 5 female patients with upper limb lymphedema after breast cancer surgery. All underwent lymphaticovenular anastomosis (LVA) using supermicrosurgical technique. Clinical evaluation was performed pre- and post-operatively with a 6-month follow-up. Result: All patients showed significant improvement in limb swelling, circumference reduction, and quality of life. No major complications were observed. Conclusion: Supermicrosurgical LVA is a safe and effective treatment for postmastectomy lymphedema.
