Some factors related to the quality of life of lung cancer patients at Nam Dinh Provincial General Hospital

Abstract
Objective: To identify factors related to the quality of life of lung cancer patients at Nam Dinh General Hospital in 2023. Subject and method: The study was conducted on 145 lung cancer patients receiving treatment at Nam Dinh General Hospital using a cross-sectional descriptive research method from April 2023 to July 2023. Data were collected through direct patient interviews using the EORTC QLQ-C30 quality of life assessment tool. Result: Treatment methods, metastasis status, and social support were positively correlated with quality of life, with statistically significant differences (p<0.05). Gender, age, disease duration, and occupation were not associated with quality of life according to the EORTC QLQ-C30 scale, with no statistically significant differences (p>0.05). Conclusion: Treatment methods, metastasis status, and social support have a positive correlation with the quality of life of lung cancer patients, with p<0.05.
