Abstract

Objective: To investigate some anatomical parameters of the lower limb in Vietnamese adults. Subject and method: 120 volunteers participating in the survey underwent computed tomography (CT) scans of the entire lower limb from February to March 2023. Axial and angle parameters of the lower limb were measured. The comparison data between male and female, right and left limbs were performed. Result: The mechanical axis of the lower limb creating an inward-opening angle, with mean angle was 179.57° ± 1.13°. This value was larger in men than women. Anatomical axis of the lower limb creating an outward-opening angle, with mean angle was 175.46° ± 1.49°. This value was not significantly different between the sexes.  The mean inferolateral was 93.2° ± 0.46°. This value was larger in men than women. The mean lateral distal femoral angle 82.29° ± 1.55°. This value significantly different between the sexes. Conclusion: The CT image is helpful for detail assessments the anatomical characteristic of the lower limb
