Characteristics of multi-season computed tomatography in patients 6 months after living donor right liver transplantation at 108 Military Central Hospital

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate some features of multi-slice computed tomography images in patients 6 months after right liver transplantation from a living donor at the 108 Military Central Hospital. Subject and method: A cross-sectional descriptive study on 48 patients who received right liver transplantation from a living donor. Patients underwent CT scans 6 months after transplantation to evaluate the condition of the liver parenchyma and complications. Result: Liver parenchyma properties: 83.33% of patients had homogeneous liver parenchyma; 16.67% had hypodense areas. The average diameter of the arteries before, at, and after the anastomosis decreased by 3.94 ± 1.25mm; 3.26 ± 1.13mm; 2.65 ± 1.04mm, respectively. Biliary tract images: 13/48 (27.08%) cases showed signs of intrahepatic biliary dilatation. Pleural effusion: 4.17% were unilateral, 2.08% were bilateral. Conclusion: Multi-slice CT is a useful imaging tool in monitoring late abnormalities after liver transplantation.
