Abstract

Objective: To evaluate clinical characteristics and vascular lesions of patients with chronic lower limb arterial disease with iliac artery lesions. Subjects and methods: a descriptive, cross-sectional study study on 150 patients with chronic iliac artery lesions treated who were treated at the 108 Military Central Hospital from March 2020 to September 2023. Result: Mean age was 72.5 y. Male accounted for 86.7%. Hypertension accounted for 68%, Smoking accounted for 46%, diabetes accounted for 35.3%. Lower limb ischemia Fontaine IIb stage accounts 32.1%; Fontaine III accounts 44.9%. Mean ABI was 0.43. Lower limb lesion characteristics are iliac artery lesions alone (31.6%), iliac combined with femoral-popliteal arteries 43.3%). The most common level of iliac artery injury are TASC D (49.7%) and TASC C (40.1%). Conclusion: Patients with chronic lower limb arterial disease with iliac artery lesions have diverse clinical symptoms and complex lower limb vascular lesions.
