Phân tích chi phí điều trị bệnh u ác tuyến giáp (C73) của bệnh nhân nội trú có Bảo hiểm y tế tại Bệnh viện Trung ương Quân đội 108 (2019 - 2023)

Abstract

Objective: To analyze the treatment costs and cost structure of patients with malignant thyroid tumors at 108 Military Central Hospital during the period 2019-2023. Subject and method: A retrospective cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted on inpatients covered by health insurance (HI) who were treated for malignant thyroid tumors at the 108 Military Central Hospital from 2019 to 2023. Result: A total of 30,285 inpatients were recorded during the study period, with an average treatment cost of VND 12.79 million per case. Treatment costs showed an increasing trend over the years. Regarding to the cost structure, medications accounted for the largest proportion (63.2%), followed by surgical and procedural costs (13.2%). Of the total treatment costs, 77.8% were covered by health insurance, 14.8% were co-paid by patients, and 7.4% were fully paid out-of-pocket by patients. Conclusion: Medication and surgical-procedural costs constitute the main contributors of the total treatment expenses for malignant thyroid tumors. Controlling medication costs and rational use of technical interventions are essential to reduce the financial burden on patients and the health insurance fund.
