Abstract

Objective: Review of the results of surgical treatment of tubal pregnancy at Cam Pha Regional General Hospital from May 2022 to May 2024. Subject and method: 102 patients were diagnosed with tubal pregnancy and treated surgically at Cam Pha Regional General Hospital. Result: The age range from 26 - 40 years old accounted for 76.5%. The average age of the study subjects was 33.4 ± 5.5 years old. History of old abdominal surgical scars: 37.3% had 1 surgery, 17.6% had ≥ 2 surgeries. Ectopic pregnancies were treated laparoscopically in 96.1%, only 1 case was converted from laparoscopic surgery to open surgery, accounting for 1.0%. The gestational mass in the ampullary segment of the fallopian tube accounted for 80.4%. Cases of unruptured ectopic pregnancies were 74.5%. Simple salpingectomy accounted for 85.3%. The rest were combined surgeries. The majority of subjects had intra-abdominal blood, only 7.8% of subjects had no intra-abdominal blood. The average blood volume was 216.6 ± 346.7ml. Conclusion: The history of old abdominal surgical scars accounted for a high proportion. Ectopic pregnancies treated with laparoscopic surgery accounted for 96.1%. The gestational mass located in the ampulla of the fallopian tube accounted for the highest proportion. Unruptured ectopic pregnancies were 74.5%. Simple salpingectomy accounted for 85.3%. The proportion of patients with intra-abdominal blood was 92.2%.
