Some characteristics of patients being in waiting list for lung transplantation at 108 Military Central Hospital: Theory and practice

Abstract

A total of 20 patients in waiting list for lung transplantation were distributed in 3 fields: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease 13 patients (80%), idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis 1 patient (5%), bronchiectasis 3 patients (15%). 100% of patients had dyspnea grade 3 or higher, mean of FEV1 index was 25.79 ± 12.95%, 6-minute walking distance was less than 250m, accounting for 95%. Indications and patient selection for the waiting list were consistent with the recommendations of the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation
