Abstract

Objective: To report on the results of stump reconstruction using microsurgery. Subject and method: The neurovascular bundle of reconstructive composite flap was microsurgically sutured and all structures were restored. Result: All wounds healed uneventfully. All microanastomoses were good. The patient was very satisfied with the functional recovery. The reconstructed part can participate in most daily activities. Conclusion: Microsurgery opens up valuable prospects for stump reconstruction. The method allows patient to improve significantly the quality of life and career opportunities.
