Abstract
Objective: Initial assessment of some factors affecting the sale of antibiotics without a prescription at drug retail in the inner city of Hanoi in 2023. Subject and method: Drug retailers at GPP drug store in Hoan Kiem District, Ha Noi, Cross-sectional descriptive study, interviews with pharmacists using a set of interview questions. Result: Three factors affecting the sale of non-prescription antibiotics of drug seller included: F1 (Factor on economic benefits of drug store, beta = 0.260); F2 (External factors promoting Drug seller’s sales activities, beta = 0.170) and F3 (Ability to easily take action, beta = 0.590). Conclusion: In order to improve the illegal practice of selling antibiotics, regional management agencies need to strengthen inspection and control of buying and selling activities of antibiotics in an automated manner; Research and develop software to help warn Drug seller, Buyer and managers about drug seller’s sales activities as soon as possible.
