Characteristics and results of surgical treatment pulmonary metastases due to colorectal cancer

Abstract
Objective: Evaluation of treatment results of pulmonary metastases from colorectal cancer through clinical surveys, treatment methods, outcomes and mortality rates. Subject and method: Retrospective study, cases series from 01/2018-11/2022. Result: 60 patients, mean age: 72 ± 5.3 years old. The patient discovered lung metastasis after 27.3 months of colorectal cancer treatment. Lymph node metastasis: 33%. Survival 3 years after treatment for lung metastases 70% and distant metastases 20%. Mortality after 4 years: 48%. Conclusion: Survival is improved in all patients with pulmonary metastases treated surgically after colorectal cancer. Pleural effusion and cancer relapse: 10%, distant metastases: 20%. Metastatic N2 lymph node size > 1cm predicts poor prognosis when the patient is accompanied by lung metastatic lesions.
