Abstract

Objective: Description of some characteristics of the external diameter of fresh Tam Hoang chicken toe blood vessels for application in supermicrosurgery training. Subject and method: A cross-sectional, prospective descriptive study on 30 fresh adult Tam Hoang chicken feet, blood vessels including: Digital artery of second toe, digital artery of third toe, digital artery of fourth toe, digital vein of second toe, digital vein of third toe, digital vein of fourth toe. Result: All blood vessels in the study had an average external diameter of less than 0.8mm. The digital artery of third toe and the digital vein of third toe had the largest average external diameter among the toe digiatal arteries and digiatl veins. Conclusion: The model of blood vessels on the chicken toe has characteristics of external diameter suitable for supermicrosurgery training.
