Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness in diagnosis and complications of bone biopsy technique under CT-guided. Subject and method: 161 patients underwent CT guided bone biopsy at Radiology Department, 108 Military Central Hospital from January 2018 to June 2019. Result: Successful procedure was 100%. We encountered 1.9% minor complications and no major complications. 92.5% histological diagnosis results were adequate. Using the small size needle (14 and 13G) and large size needle (11 and 10G) had the same adequacy; specimen length > 10mm had a higher diagnosis value than specimen length < 10mm. Conclusion: A CT-guided bone biopsy is safe and effective.
