Satisfaction of outpatients at the National Hospital of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2022

Abstract
Objective: To describe the satisfaction of outpatients and some related factors at the National Hospital of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Subject and method: A cross-sectional study was conducted on 390 outpatients at the National Hospital of Obstetrics and Gynecology from October to December in 2022. Result: 90.2% of outpatients were satisfied with the accessibility; 86.6% of outpatients were satisfied with the transparent information and procedures for examination and treatment; 91.6% of outpatients were satisfied with the facilities and means for serving patients; 93.7% of outpatients were satisfied with the behavior, and professional competence of medical staff; 94.9% of outpatients were satisfied with the results of service provision; and the overall satisfaction rate among outpatients was 90.4%. Conclusion: The average score was 4.33 ± 0.52 (very satified), among these, the lowest satisfaction of outpatients is the transparency of information and the procedures for examination and treatment. The waiting times had lower satisfaction, particularly regarding the waitting time to see the doctor at 79.7% and the waitting time for registration procedures at 80.0%. Therefore, the hospital needs to enhance quality improvement efforts to increase the satisfaction of with outpatients.
