Abstract

Objective: To evaluate clinical and subclinical characteristics of dengue hemorrhagic fever patients treated inpatients at two military hospitals 103 and 175. Subject and method: Applying research methods in a cross-sectional, prospective descriptive study, on 727 patients diagnosed with dengue hemorrhagic fever admitted to hospital and inpatient treatment at 103 and 175 hospitals. Result: Mean age of dengue infection 36.8 years old, severe dengue fever rate 3.98%; rate patients with dengue shock 1.3%; effusion of membranes 15.5%, mainly in the age group from 18 to under 60; the rate of thrombocytopenia was about 96.3%; Increased hematocrit accounted for about 30.1%; GOT growth rate 88.2%; GPT 73.8%, Increased direct bilirubin 17.4%; Increased total bilirubin 7.9%, abnormal rate of albumin 27.3%; glucose 52.8%; urea and creatinine 16.8%; CRP 25.6%. There was no association between the severity of dengue and a history of chronic diseases. Conclusion: Severe dengue fever rate 3.98%; Rate of patients with dengue shock 1.3%; effusion of membranes 15.5%; the rate of thrombocytopenia is about 96.3%; over 80% of patients have elevated liver enzymes, 16.8% kidney dysfunction.
