Khảo sát thực trạng kiến thức và một số yếu tố liên quan trong việc nuôi con bằng sữa mẹ của sản phụ sau sinh tại Bệnh viện Trung ương Quân đội 108 năm 2023

Abstract

Objective: To survey the knowledge on breastfeeding and identify some factors related to breastfeeding of pregnant women after giving birth at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology-108 Military Central Hospital. Subject and method: A descriptive cross-sectional study was done using a structured questionnaire directly interviewing women giving birth at 108 Military Central Hospital. Result: There was totally 250 pregnant women participated in the survey, in which 83.2% of mothers had a good general knowledge on breastfeeding. Most of the mothers had a good knowledge on the benefit and practice of breastfeeding. Some relevant factors that were statistically significant related to the knowledge on breastfeeding: Place of residence and education. Conclusion: A quite high proportion of mothers with general knowledge about breastfeeding, but it is still necessary to strengthen guidance and counseling for mothers on the benefits of breast milk and breastfeeding methods in the postpartum period at the hospital, especially for those living in rural area and low level of education.
