Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the role of Unipolar potential (QS form) in combination with activation mapping and pace mapping in locating the origin of the ventricular arrhythmias. Subject and method: Studying patients are divided into 2 groups. The control group was used only two classical methods (AM and PM), and the studying group was used the above two methods in conbination with using Unipolar potential (QS form). Analyze the characteristics of the procedure, parameters during ablation of idiopathic ventricular arrhythmias between the two groups. Result: The study included 82 patients, the average of idiopathic ventricular arrhythmias in holter ECG was 19.6 ± 9%/day. There were 27 patients using a combination of AM, PM, and Unipolar potential (32.93%). The group of patients using the unipolar potential combination had fewer ablation attempts than the group of patients without the unipolar potential (5.7 ± 1.8 times vs 6.6 ± 1.9, p=0.04). Total ablation time was aslo less in studying group than control group (347.0 ± 87.0 seconds vs. 393.6 ± 88.2 seconds, respectively, p=0.03). There were no differences in procedure time and radiation time between the two research groups. Conclusion: Using additional unipolar potentials in combination with activation mapping and pace mapping to find the target location of idopathic ventricular arrhythmias, helping to treat more effectively, reducing electrocablation time.
