Abstract

Objective: To analyze postoperative complications in donor right hepatectomy for living donor liver transplantation. Subject and method: Retrospective study of 148 cases of donors who underwent right hepatectomy from October 2017 to October 2022 at 108 Military Central Hospital. Result: The average age was 30.82 ± 7.24 years, and 77.7% of the donor were male. The remnant left liver volume: 37.87 ± 4.27%, graft size: 656.11 ± 108.06g, operative time: 278.82 ± 50.18 minutes, blood loss: 303.14 ± 166.53ml. There was no donor mortality, and the morbidity rate was 8.78%. According to the Clavien classification, grade II complications in 5 (3.38%), grade IIIa complications in 6 (4.05%), grade IIIb complications in 2 (1.35%), and biliary complications were the most common complications, with 7 donors (4.73%). Conclusion: Donor right hepatectomy in liver transplantation is safe with a low rate of postoperative complications.
