“Closed-lock jaw” in advanced airway management: A case report

Abstract
The "closed-lock jaw" situation happening in the process of airway management has been recognized in literature and mentioned in some reports around the world. Although this phenomenon is rare, it can lead to serious, even life-threatening consequences. We report a clinical case having the “closed-lock jaw” phenomenon during cardiopulmonary resuscitation which made airway management becomes difficult and the patient had tracheostomy procedure in attempt to manage advanced airway.
