Abstract

Objective: To determine mortality prognosis of Rotterdam score in severe traumatic brain injury patients. Subject and method: 56 patients diagnosed with severe traumatic brain injury were treated at the Surgical Intensive Care Department, Center of Emergency Critical Care Medicine, and Clinical Toxicology, 103 Military Hospital. A prospective cohort study. Determine age, sex, causes, Glasgow coma score, and Rotterdam score in hospitalized time and assess outcome in 28 days. Result and conclusion: The mean Rotterdam score in the dead group (4.28 ± 1.05) was higher than the survivor group (3.17 ± 1.20) with p=0.001. Rotterdam score prognosis mortality with the area under curve 0.753; p=0.002; cutoff point 3.5 with sensitive 81% and specific 65.7%.
