Abstract
Objective: To research on processing high-energy solutions to feed patients through gastric catheters and evaluate standards based on the criteria: Nutritional value, physicochemistry, microorganisms of high-energy solution compared with Nutrison products. Subject and method: Analysis, described on the seasonally available food samples, ingredients of the formula are calculated according to the Excel spreadsheet based on the 2007 Vietnam Food Chemistry Composition Table, check Practical solutions for nutrients at the National Institute of Nutrition. Result: Formula of feeding solution with high energy at 108 Military Central Hospital, including: 120g glutinous rice, 50g green beans, 100g eggs, 100g vegetables, 50g nutrition powder, 6g oil, milk powder 76g with a total energy level of 1020 Kcal, with an energy density of 1.02kcal/ml solution, the ratio of energy bioenergy was P:L:G = 18:29:53. Conclusion: High-energy solution for energy consumption ensures the requirements of energy level, nutritional value, physicochemical and microbiological index, food safety and hygiene compared to Nutrison solution, recommended by institute.
