Abstract
Objective: To determine the efficacy, results of percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA) in patients with chronic iliac diseases. Subject and method: 75 patients (96 lessons), who indicated iliac artery percutaneous angioplasty. Methods: A descriptive and cross-sectional study from September 2016 to December, 2020 at Bach Mai Hospital, follow-up 12 months. Result: Technicial successsful rate was 96%; Clinical success rate was 83.3%, dynamical success rate was 76.0%, average ABI: Pre-procedure: 0.43 ± 0.33, post procedure: 0.62 ± 0.25, 1 month: 0.82 ± 0.18, 3 months: 0.89 ± 0.15, 6 months: 0.91 ± 0.14, 12 months 0.89 ± 0.17. The complication included: Access site hematoma (6.7%), acute renal failure (4.0%), dissection (1.3%), acute thrombosis (2.7%). Conclusion: PTA in patients with chronic iliac diseases is a feasible and effective procedure.
