Abstract

Objective: To evaluate neurological outcome of patient after surgery cervical spine tumor. Subject and method: We retrospectively reviewed 32 patients who underwent treatment for cervical spine tumor at Neuro-surgery of Department K National Hospital between 2/2017-2/2022. Including: Histology after operation, neurological outcome pre-operative and post-operative 6 months following McCormick Scale, complications post-op. OS post-operative 12 months. Result: 32 patients, 20 females and 12 males. Mean of age: 46.87 ± 14.86. Histological subtype: Neurinoma 34.4%, meningioma 3.1%, hemangioblastoma 3.1%, lipoma 3.1%, metastasis 25.1%; astrocystoma 9.4%, ependymoma 9.4%, sarcoma 6.2%; chodroma 3.1%, myeloma 3.1%. Gross total 51.3%, sub-total 31.3%, biosy 15.4%. Neurological outcome post-op 6 months: Improve 59.38%, unchange 28.13%. Complication post-op: 6,25%; Rate of OS post-operative 12 months: Benign 100%, malignancy 75.1%. Conclusion: Outcome of sugical cervical spine tumor depend on histology and the level of removed tumor.
